In this 4 hour, in-depth workshop you will get personal, hands-on instruction from a profoundly talented puppet builder and Guild Member, Greg Ballora! Greg will share his extensive experience, insight, and secret building methods at this truly incredible workshop!
Learn how to build a moving mouth mech, similar to everybody’s favorite Muppet Rat, Rizzo! Learn how it works. Learn why it works. Discover how simple and effective a mech can be when creating a puppet character, and really expand your building potential.
With a career that has thrived for over 30 years, Greg Ballora’s professional credits include: The Muppets, Jim Carey’s Kidding, Team America, The Happytime Murders, Spiderman II, and other internationally known film, television, and stage puppet works. Greg has taught puppet construction and performance at UCLA, Pepperdine University, Penn State and Cal Arts. With a strong eye for detail and meticulous work quality, Greg is the ideal instructor for this delicate work.
Participants are encouraged to bring their basic tool kit, but don’t panic if you lack tools; Greg will have some on hand.
