The Los Angeles Guild of Puppetry introduces the Pageant Puppetry Community Project!

Get ready to get your pageant puppetry on. Between now and April we’ll be hosting events focused on this magical puppetry style. The goal of this project is to go through the entire process of creating a pageant puppet with our community from the research, to choosing a design, then building the puppet over the course of four weekends leading up to Earth Day and then the weekend of Earth Day debuting the puppet at an Earth day event. This project is a way to allow our members and the LA puppetry community to come together and volunteer to experience a very interesting form of puppetry.

We completed our first portion of the community project with our fantastic lecture by John Bell and Kate Katz!

It is time to vote for the design you would like to see brought to life! Please check out the link below and look through our two submissions and vote on your favorite.

Voting will be open from Monday March 28th to Friday April 1st.

The winner will be announced on Saturday April 2nd!
